One of the panelists, Holi from Madagascar, was asked what she enjoys doing when she is not working. Boldly, she stated: REST. Recognizing the pervasive issue of women being overworked and exhausted, she declared that rest is her gift to herself. In that moment, the word "pumzika" came to mind. Pumzika, which means rest in Swahili, encapsulated the essence perfectly for ILAVA’s newest collection.
